Recently reopened after a multi-million pound renovation, the Montcalm Hotel is housed an elegant Georgian building, which dates from 1787. The interior boasts fresh, contemporary design while none the less preserving the property’s heritage values.
The 20 sqm guestrooms are designed with a touch of luxury and are beautifully appointed. They have a wide range of facilities, including a super comfortable king size bed for the ultimate sleep experience and a marble bathroom with luxurious rain showers and bespoke toiletries. Guests can indulge themselves even more by selecting a room aroma from the fine assortment of high quality exotic fragrances provided.
Headed up by Sardinian born Executive Chef Paolo Saba, the hotel’s “Vetro” Restaurant serves fresh, light and modern Italian cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Menus will change seasonally but will always include a wide selection of appetisers, pasta dishes, risotti, fish and meat dishes. This contemporary design venue features four large skylights, which provide the inspiration behind the name Vetro, (Italian for glass.) It also has a stunning marble floor and an imposing display table as a centre piece.
Sophisticated cocktails in contemporary surroundings are the order of the day at “Barre Noire”. A popular and stylish destination bar, 'Barre Noire' is the perfect place to relax with your favourite drink and enjoy a selection of savoury delights.
