Prominently located on Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane, the Inter-Continental Hotel has stylish decor and a wealth of luxurious amenities. It occupies a modern building with a beige stone façade. The large lobby is opulently appointed in marble and features an eye-catching chandelier and a long reception desk. There is also a spacious lounge with traditional, comfortable furniture. The hotel's 447 medium sized guestrooms have been stylishly revamped using rich fabrics, traditional colours and elegant wooden furniture to create a timeless, classic feel. The walls are decorated with specially commissioned art works depicting parts of London to evoke a sense of place and some of the rooms have views of the city’s Royal Parks.
The hotel’s "Theo Randall" Restaurant creates a sunny, River Cafe-style ambience as a pleasant contrast to the other plusher, more corporate public areas. Serving his own unique interpretation of regional Italian cuisine, its eponymous head chef sources the freshest ingredients from specialist suppliers in the United Kingdom and Italy. The hotel also features a second new restaurant, the "Cookbook Cafe", which is a hive of creative cooking where London's brightest young chefs showcase their inventive dishes. Alternatively, guests can relax in the Lobby Lounge, a scenic venue offering specialities from the hotel’s local partners, The Tea Palace and Melt chocolatiers from Notting Hill.
